Common trade names: NiCr 80/20, Ni80Cr20, Nichrome 80, Chromel A, N8,  Resistohm 80, Cronix 80, Nichrome V, HAI-NiCr 80, X20H80, etc.

NiCr80/20 is an nickel-chromium alloy for use at temperatures up to 1200°C.Heat resistant alloy applied in oxidizing atmospheres such as nitrogen, ammonia, unstable atmospheres containing sulfur and sulfur compounds. NiCr 80/20 has higher heat-resisting characteristic than Iron-aluminum alloys.


Tankii can produce the NiCr8020 in the form of foil, strip, flat wire, round wire, stranded wire as per customers' request.

NiCr 8020 (2.4869) is used for electric heating elements in home appliances and industrial furnaces. Typical applications are flat irons, ironing machines, water heaters, plastic moulding dies, soldering irons, metal sheathed tubular elements and cartridge elements.

NiCr20/80 foil

1 Introduction
 
The Nichrome chemical composition is nickel, chromium and ferrum, it used at operating temperatures up to 1200 degrees. Its chemical composition gives good oxidation resistance, especially under conditions of frequent switching or wide temperature fluctuations. They are used for electric resistances of appliances or for application of industrial furnaces.

3. Core properties of nichrome foil:

High resistivity: As an electrical heating alloy, its electrical resistance is much greater than that of ordinary metals.

Excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance: It forms a dense protective chromium oxide film at high temperatures.

High-temperature stability: It maintains its shape and properties at high temperatures and is not easily softened or deformed.

Excellent mechanical properties: It possesses a certain strength and ductility.
